Hunting season is in full swing. And that means bad news for our nation’s wolves and bears. Last year alone, hunters in Montana targeted and killed over 250 wolves. And just a few weeks ago, a mama grizzly was gunned down, leaving her cub orphaned. Now, wolf and bear populations are dwindling. And if this pattern continues, this winter could be the last for many of them.
Meanwhile, trophy hunters and special interests want you to think their murderous actions are indispensable. But that's a complete lie. Their actions are driving our nation’s iconic species to the brink. And they’re putting their habitats up for mining, logging, and other destructive practices. All for the sake of profit. We don’t have to let them get away with this.
We don’t want to see a world without majestic wolves and iconic grizzly bears. And we know you don’t either, Friend. Preserving Endangered Species Act protections is not just in service of wildlife. This vital legislation is a critical tool to protect life on Earth as we know it. It shields local communities from pollution. It keeps our climate from being driven into utter chaos. And it protects our nation's wildlife from harmful industries like Big Oil and Gas. The attacks on the ESA are proof that it’s working. But if greedy interests succeed in striking it down, it means that these industries can have an easier time exploiting public lands for drilling, fracking, mining, and factory farming.
Friend, without urgent action, we could lose our greatest tool in the fight to preserve essential ecosystems and protect precious wildlife from extinction.
