Last week, I officially launched my reelection campaign. Now, I’m gearing up for the first FEC end-of-quarter deadline since I launched my campaign.

You might be wondering what that means. In short, it means that after midnight on September 30, we will see exactly where we stand financially. We need to show my far-right, extremist opponent that this people-powered campaign is ready for 2024.

When I launched my campaign, I told you that Kevin McCarthy is dead-set on taking back this seat for Republicans. Exceeding our goal in the face of this deadline is critical to ensuring that doesn’t happen.

This is a big deal, John, so we’re setting a big goal: $25,000.

Flipping this seat blue in 2022 was tough, John. I wasn’t hand-picked by the establishment, and I had to fend off attacks from my right-wing extremist opponent at every turn. I won by less than one percent of the vote — the closest margin in the entire country.

But holding this seat in 2024 is going to be even harder. I’m in a rematch against a far-right extremist who voted to take away women’s choice and slash funding for New Mexico, and dark money is starting to back my opponent.

That’s why I need Team Vasquez to come together stronger than ever. We must hit this goal, John. Falling behind this early in the race is simply not an option.
