Governor Gordon gathers leaders for?first workshop of his WGA Chair initiative, Decarbonizing the West?
On Thursday Governor Gordon convened federal, state, local, and industry stakeholders from around the West to discuss various aspects of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) as part of his Western Governor's Association Chairman's Initiative "Decarbonizing the West".
"People are being told they have to give up something, and they are very reluctant to do that," Governor Gordon said. "This is an opportunity for us to make things work better, reduce CO2 in the atmosphere, grow our economy, and improve people?s lives without taking things away."

Governor celebrates collaborative initiative to offer students conservation education opportunities
Governor Gordon lent his support to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department's announcement of an expansion of youth conservation education programs.?Starting in January, schools can participate in Trout in the Classroom, National Archery in the Schools Program, Hunter Education and Conservation Crates.
"Ensuring students have opportunities to experience hands-on learning and gain crucial outdoor skills and knowledge should be part of our commitment to tomorrow?s hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts,? Governor Gordon said.

Wyoming's Future of Learning Launches RIDE Initiative Pilots
Governor Gordon joined nearly 300 education professionals in Casper to kick off the Student-Centered Learning Pilots. Nine school districts will pilot new teaching methods intended to ensure Wyoming is preparing its students for the future. The program emerged out of the Governor's RIDE initiative and the history-making Wyoming's Future of Learning partnership.
