National Right to Work Act by Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC, H.R. 1200

- This bill would repeal portions of existing law that allow labor unions to enter into union security agreements with employers. Union security agreements mandate that employees join a labor union as a condition of employment. Contrary to popular belief, standard Right to Work Laws do not prohibit union organizing in jurisdictions where they are in effect. They simply prevent coercive practices that require employees to join unions as a condition of employment. 24 states, including Georgia, have Right to Work laws. Georgia has been a Right to Work state since 1947. Michigan is the only state to have repealed its Right to Work law.

Resolution disapproving of Biden’s “Improving Income Driven Repayment (IDR) for Federal Direct and Federal Family Education Loans” order by Rep. Lisa McClain, R-MI, H.J.Res. 88

- This resolution is a Congressional Review Act resolution which, if signed, would terminate the Biden administration’s $475 billion IDR plan. Over ten years, the Biden IDR plan stands to be the most costly single federal regulation in history. Under this plan, some borrowers would be required to make no monthly payments toward their federal student loans.
