Dear Commissioners/Community Leaders,

You and your constituents are highly encouraged to provide Metro feedback from now until when the public comment period closes on 5 p.m. Monday, March 2.

This feedback is provided directly to WMATA staff and the Board of Directors as part of the decision-making process after the public comment period closes. In order to provide feedback that is part of the public record, you have a few options:

* You can provide oral testimony at any of the three public hearings. Information about the location and times of the public hearing are available at wmata.com/budget ([link removed]) .
* You can provide comments online. By clicking on the link “Provide your feedback online” at the top of the wmata.com/budget ([link removed]) page, you will have the following three options:
+ Take the survey and provide written comments (preferred). You will get to select the proposals you would like to provide your feedback on.
+ Provide written comment only. This is an online feedback form and you will need to write in your comments into a text box.
+ Upload a document. This is the feature you should use if you have any letters, memos or documents you want to share.


You must submit all comments one of these ways if you want it to be part of the public record– sending or handing letters or memos to me or other WMATA staff is not considered an official submittal and will not be part of the public record.

For those without access to computers or internet, testimony may also be mailed to the Office of the Board Secretary. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 Fifth Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. All comments must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 to be included in the public record.
