With the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York this week, there are new concerns about global overreach and increasing threats to American national sovereignty.

For the last year, the WHO -- a specialized agency within the United Nations on matters of international public health -- has shamelessly tried to seize more power through the development of a global pandemic treaty and the introduction of a series of amendments to the international health regulations.

The expectation is that these documents will be voted on or, if there is no dissent, adopted by the World Health Assembly beginning in May 2024.

Yesterday, in an effort to try and build momentum for the May vote, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a separate declaration on "pandemic prevention, preparedness and response." Included in this declaration was an endorsement of the WHO's global pandemic treaty and commitments to advance universal abortion access and gender-responsive workplaces, and fight health-related "misinformation" and "hate speech."

In other words, they want the WHO to be able to do what the Biden administration has done.

We must speak up now before it's too late. Will you join us?

Over the past few years, we have witnessed the WHO's ineptitude when responding to the coronavirus pandemic, its undue trust in communist China's deceptive explanation of the source of the virus, and its push for control with emergency orders.

This is an issue that Family Research Council has been closely tracking and reporting on over the last year. In fact, FRC board chairman and former congresswoman Michele Bachmann was recently at the 76^th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland and shared these words:

"Time is short. I have been sounding the alarm on the World Health Organization's (WHO) efforts to create a global governance platform that would threaten every American's way of life and your freedom. This isn't hyperbole or a quote pulled from a Hollywood movie script. It's what I observed."

Now, with the declaration that the UN General Assembly issued on Wednesday, we have further proof that the UN and its subsidiary bodies will not stop their blatant power grab.

If the WHO's global pandemic treaty and amendments to the international health rules are approved in May 2024, it means that all 194 member nations -- including the United States -- would have to yield their sovereignty on anything that the WHO's broad definition of healthcare touches whenever WHO decides to declare an emergency.

The concentration of power in Geneva a few months ago was shocking. So many organizations came together with the united goal of increasing the WHO's global power and undermining national sovereignty .

This isn't just business as usual.

This would give the WHO more power than the United Nations has ever thought about having. That should shock every democracy-loving individual.

And as Michele shared back in May, no Members of Congress were in attendance at the World Health Assembly, nor any visible coverage from the American press corps.

The legacy media doesn't want you to know what the WHO or the UN is doing!

Even this week, there is virtually no news coverage of the UN General Assembly meeting happening in New York.
