Vaccines recommended for everyone over age 6 months
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that all people 6 months of age or older get at least one dose of the 2023-2024 updated COVID-19 vaccines this fall/winter.
* People 5 years of age and older regardless of previous vaccination are eligible to receive a single dose of an updated mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least two months since the last dose of any COVID-19 vaccine.
* People 6 months through 4 years of age who have previously been vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible to receive one or two doses of an updated mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (timing and number of doses to administer depends on the previous COVID-19 vaccine received).
* Unvaccinated people 6 months through 4 years of age are eligible to receive three doses of the updated authorized Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine or two doses of the updated authorized Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Order four free COVID-19 tests from federal government
Every U.S. household will again be able to order four free COVID-19 tests through COVID.gov [ [link removed] ] starting on Monday, September 25.
These tests will detect the currently circulating COVID-19 variants. Testing when recommended, like if you have symptoms of COVID-19, is still important as we go into the fall and winter. Order tests so you have them when you need them.
If you currently have at-home tests, check to see if the test?s expiration date has been extended: Authorized At-Home OTC COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests and Expiration Dates (FDA.gov) [ [link removed] ].

COVID-19 treatment at no cost

If you are at high risk of getting very sick from COVID-19, medications may protect you from getting really sick and help you feel better faster. People in Minnesota who have symptoms of COVID-19 *and* a positive test result *or*?who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 are eligible to receive treatment at no cost.
*Health insurance is not required to receive treatment.*
