I still remember when I made the decision to run for the State Assembly back in 2017. I remember because one of the very first calls I made about running was to Joanna.
Joanna and I had been in the trenches working to elect Democrats in Orange County in a number of election cycles. I knew she'd be an invaluable force if I was going to flip my hometown assembly seat from red to blue.
I won that race, John. And ever since, it's been so inspiring seeing Joanna go from organizing canvasses out of her living room to stepping up to run for Congress.
Joanna is a workhorse, but more importantly she leads with integrity and has a strong sense of duty to her community and the people around her. I have no doubt she'll put in the work in Congress. That's why I'm supporting her -- and I hope you will too!
