Gun Violence Prevention Advocate,
I’m here at the White House today with exciting news that we’re sharing with only our most engaged supporters as a thank you for all you do for our movement, friend. President Biden has just announced the creation of the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. 1
I’ve been invited along with national leaders in the gun violence prevention movement to celebrate this historic step that has long been a goal for our movement. This new office will drive national change toward ending the gun violence epidemic.
This announcement comes after years of demonstrations and advocacy from supporters like you–and I could not be more grateful for your support.

The new office will be overseen by Vice President Kamala Harris in addition to key advocacy leaders like Greg Jackson from the Community Justice Action Fund – the first time in history that a leader from within our gun violence prevention movement has taken a leading role in the administration like this. 2 The office will mobilize movement partners and coordinate gun violence prevention initiatives and policies across the many parts of the Federal Government involved in addressing this public health crisis.
We applaud the Biden administration for demonstrating their commitment to address gun violence and standing up for communities across the country that are tired of living in fear. Our movement is growing stronger, and with the help of supporters like you we will continue to fight for a safer Pennsylvania.
Sincerely,
Adam Garber
