Hello John,
I’m writing to you today to say thank you for the incredible response we’ve had to our appeal to end whaling.
This is an issue that’s close to my heart, as I’ve witnessed first-hand the cruelty of the commercial whaling industry.
EIA has been campaigning to protect whales for nearly 40 years now, and at the start, everybody underestimated how tenacious the whalers would be. I’m proud that we’ve been even more tenacious and that we’re still here fighting to protect whales.
Commercial whaling is a dying industry. It’s no longer profitable, demand for whale meat is dwindling, and public opinion is increasingly on our side. Younger generations in particular are appalled that whales are still being killed in this way.
This gives me reason to hope. Please help us now in our fight to end commercial whaling forever. You can help us make a crucial difference at a time when the remaining whaling nations are standing on the wrong side of history.
