John,
This is awesome. Students are planning a national day of action on Monday to keep facial recognition surveillance off college campuses. We even wrote a piece about it for MTV News.1
Students across the country are organizing letter deliveries, protests, and teach-ins, calling on administrators to commit to not using the dangerous tech on campuses (just like UCLA did last week2).
We’re supporting these students—helping them plan events, recruit more people to attend, and providing resources. They’ve requested our help to print attention grabbing banners and signs for these events, but we need you to chip in so we can cover the costs.
We need to raise $1,053 today to print banners, signs, and other materials for the student Day of Action against facial recognition. Will you chip in?
DONATE
We need to place these orders today, so if you can, please chip in so that the Day of Action has as big an impact as possible, and to put a dent in the spread of facial recognition.
Thanks for all you give,
Caitlin at Fight for the Future
