YOM KIPPUR 2023/5784
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish People. It is a
powerful reminder of the importance of seeking and giving forgiveness,
of reconciliation and mending relationships, of introspection and
striving to be a better person.
In the spirit of Yom Kippur, we realize that we are not perfect, that we
must always strive for more humility, understanding and empathy in
our interactions with others. As we approach this sacred day, we
recommit ourselves to the principles of kindness, tolerance and
acceptance of our differences. We pledge to work to bridge divides
through respectful dialogue and listening to each other’s concerns with
compassion.
May this Yom Kippur be a time of deep reflection, meaningful prayers
and personal growth. Together, let us strive to build a brighter future
for all Americans in the spirit of national reconciliation and unity.
We wish our friends and neighbors in the Jewish Community a Blessed
and Meaningful Yom Kippur.
G’mar Hatima Tova – May you be sealed in the Book of Life for a good
year.
