Yesterday, after failing to pass their own defense spending bill – again – the House GOP and their Chaos Caucus are no closer to coming to a solution for an impending shutdown just one week until the government is set to run out of funding.

This is getting very serious, and I know you’re just as sick of the turmoil and extremists putting our country and people in danger as I am. I’m working as hard as I can to make sure my campaign is ready to empower Democrats to take back the House, and I need your help.

We were elected to do the business of the American people, to do our jobs, legislate, and uphold and defend the Constitution. The fact that some of my colleagues on the right are more interested in playing partisan games than ensuring that our government stays open is shameful.

Between funding for disaster relief and federal programs, millions of Americans including seniors, children, and veterans will be impacted by the shutdown because the Chaos Caucus cares more about their time in the spotlight than the wellbeing of our people.
