On the heels of this blatant attack on the future of Canoe County, President Biden declared September “National Wilderness Month” [1] and committed to protecting Wilderness areas for the next generations. This type of commitment to Wild places is why we need to elect people who will join President Biden in valuing Wilderness areas and vow to protect the Boundary Waters permanently.
While we currently have a President on the side of Canoe County, there are unfortunately active attacks that could undo all of the protections we’ve worked so hard to achieve in Congress. 2024 is right around the corner, and the fate of next year's election looms. |
