I hope this message finds you well amidst the turbulent political landscape we find ourselves in.

 It deeply concerns me that extreme House Republicans are steering us dangerously close to a government shutdown with their unwavering demands and partisan maneuvers.  

I am reaching out to you today because I believe that we must act together to prevent this threat to our nation's well-being, particularly for everyday Americans like you and me.

The potential consequences of a government shutdown are grave. 

Should they succeed in their endeavors, we face the grim prospect of forcing our brave servicemembers and dedicated law enforcement officers to continue working without pay. It's heart-wrenching to see such a lack of respect for those who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms.

Additionally, the extreme House Republicans' proposal includes devastating cuts to essential programs that millions of hardworking families and seniors depend on. Food safety, education, law enforcement, housing, public health, Head Start, child care, Meals on Wheels, and more would all be impacted.

I want you to know that I am different.

 My commitment to public service is rooted in the belief that duty calls, and when it does, I serve. I am dedicated to building a 21st-century economy that works for all, investing in our public schools, protecting our environment, ensuring access to quality healthcare, and ending the scourge of gun violence in our communities.
