The Hunt Institute Leads Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellows
International Trip
|
|
"Continuous learning as leaders is critical to ensuring best practices are implemented to support all kids." Our President and CEO Dr. Javaid Siddiqi embarked on The Hunt Institute's first international trip with a group of Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellows representing 12 states. Fellows are currently spending the week learning from education leaders and visiting schools in Finland and Estonia.

Winston-Salem State University Transition Committee Meeting One
|
|
On August 25, The Hunt Institute facilitated the first Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Transition meeting. The transition committee heard from resource experts who discussed student needs, overcoming barriers, state investments, and best practices. The committee will convene for five in-person meetings spanning academic year 2023-24 and will take place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Early Childhood Leadership Summit
|
|
On September 6-8, The Hunt Institute hosted a bipartisan convening with 52 state teams, including Puerto Rico and District of Columbia, comprised of senior elected officials, gubernatorial staff, and key early childhood system leaders for the 2023 Early Childhood Leadership Summit in Nashville, TN.

|
Hunt State Policy Fellows Cohort Three Meeting One
|
|
On September 10-11, the third meeting of the third cohort of Hunt State Policy Fellows commenced. This session focused on understanding higher education in North Carolina. Fellows heard from resource experts on topics such as affordability, workforce training, student needs, retention, and partnerships to support the transition to postsecondary learning.

|
|
NC STEM Access Working Group Meeting One
|
|
On September 15, The Hunt Institute hosted the first meeting of the North Carolina STEM Access Working Group. Led by co-chairs Senator Jay Chaudhuri, Senator Amy Galey, Representative Brandon Lofton, and Representative Erin Paré, the working group will study current challenges and opportunities and make recommendations for policy and practice that will serve all students in North Carolina. Complete Tennessee Leadership Institute Cohort Eight Meeting One
|
|
On September 15, The Hunt Institute and SCORE hosted the first meeting of the eighth cohort of Complete Tennessee Leadership Institute. CTLI equips a diverse group of education stakeholders with strategies to address barriers to postsecondary completion in Tennessee.

|
