Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids

Hi John,

I’m Agamroop Kaur, a Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Board Member and the 2022 Barrie Fiske National Youth Advocate of the Year. I spent the last three days at the United Nations General Assembly in New York!

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids has a special consultative status with the UN, and I’ve been here this week helping to advocate for countries to adopt tobacco prevention policies and other public health policies that protect kids, advance health equity, better the environment and save lives.

I’m particularly proud to have given a speech to UN delegations in support of the Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge, a commitment that financial institutions around the world are making to stop investing in tobacco companies.

My experience at the UN General Assembly this week has been amazing. My goal has been to make it known that youth are filled with ideas for changing the world, and we need our leaders to meaningfully engage with us.

So I just wanted to say thank you for being a part of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. I’m thrilled to have these incredible opportunities and hope you’ll consider supporting this important work.

Sincerely,

Agamroop Kaur
National Youth Ambassador
