Sometimes, it's too easy to get caught up in the news or politics, and we end
up forgetting what we're fighting for, Friend.

The moment I woke up in Walter Reed Medical Center after losing my legs in
Afghanistan, everything made sense.

I watched my wife carry our newborn son in her arms into my hospital room. I
could barely speak, but I wanted to shout to the world that I would never stop
fighting for them, for their future, and for America.

Family was my reason for serving our country abroad. Before I could even walk
again, our son and the hope of future children were my new reasons. I knew I
had to continue my fight.

with.
