The PAP Government is committed to making Singapore a place where all families can thrive.

Earlier this week, Parliament passed changes to the Child Development Co-Savings Act, which will better support families in Singapore through the doubling of government-paid paternity leave to four weeks and unpaid infant care to 12 days from 1 January 2024, and other financial support.

During the debate of the Bill, our Members of Parliament proposed ways in which the Government could further support families in Singapore.  

Minister of State for Social and Family Development Sun Xueling called on everyone to play a part in realising our vision of a Singapore made for families.  

Our MPs also reflected Singaporeans' concerns on housing which the PAP government has addressed. They include sufficient housing for families and couples and supporting singles and families in rental flats. Read more
We must provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and thrive. While the Kinderland episode is not reflective of the wider preschool sector, MOS Sun Xueling laid out the government’s multi-layered approach to prevent child mismanagement.
