Dear John xxxxxx,
Today, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s
chief of security, Gavin de Becker, released an important message
about the issues our candidate faces on the campaign trail – at great
personal and financial risk.
Gavin is a world-class security
expert and three-time presidential appointee who specializes in
advising governments around the world on how to ensure the safety of
elected and public officials. He’s developed threat assessment systems
and security protocols that are used to keep Presidents, Supreme Court
Justices, Governors, Congresspeople, and others safe. And, he is
leading the security detail that is protecting Robert F. Kennedy,
Jr.
We’re grateful we have Gavin and
his team at the helm protecting our campaign—because the Biden
Administration has denied our repeated requests for protection by the
Secret Service.
Since 1968, U.S. Presidential candidates have received
Secret Service protection,
after Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Sr. —our candidate’s father— was
assassinated at a campaign event while running for
President.
This decision from the Biden
Administration to deny Secret Service protection isn’t only about
safety. It’s also about draining our campaign of resources. Because we
have to rely on private security, at times, as much as 30% of our
campaign budget is spent on security bills.
These funds could be used to open
field offices or to bring RFK, Jr.‘s message directly to voters across
the country. Instead, we have to use the money to hire the necessary
security that the government should be providing.
It’s crazy that we have to
ask our supporters to provide protection for Mr. Kennedy and his
staff, but that’s where we are. Please consider donating today to make
sure that Mr. Kennedy is safe throughout this entire
campaign.
We know how much our supporters
care that RFK, Jr. is safe on the campaign trail. Please
consider contributing $5, $20, or $50 to covering our security detail
and making sure that our candidate, Mr. Kennedy, and everyone at his
events are safe from potential harm. Every dollar counts.
Best,
Team Kennedy https://www.kennedy24.com/
