Friends,

This week I endorsed State Rep. Yoni Pizer for Illinois’s 12th House District seat because I believe he is the best candidate to represent the people of IL-12.

I’ve known Yoni for many years, and he has been an invaluable member of my team, serving as the Community Liaison since 2014. I asked Yoni to join my team because I knew how deeply rooted he was in our communities--he’s lived, worked and organized here for nearly 30 years. 

I’ve seen up close Yoni’s commitment to our community and constituents, and I know he will continue to bring that same work ethic to the state legislature.  

As I fight every day against the dangerous agenda of the Trump administration in Washington, I need bold, progressive local leaders here at home to protect our communities and defend the values we all hold dear. I know that there’s no one who would be a stronger, louder or prouder voice in Springfield.
