Here’s what Bill Melugin reported for Fox News just this week on the raging border crisis caused by Joe Biden:
“We have just witnessed a massive illegal crossing this morning… An enormous line of migrants crossing illegally here into Eagle Pass this morning… it has been a complete free-for-all out here… Border Patrol sources telling us several thousand illegal immigrants have crossed here in Eagle Pass… they are predominantly single adult men filing into the country… we’re talking about thousands of people filing in.”
This is a direct result of Joe Biden’s unmitigated policy failures at the southern border. Just in the month of August, there were around 230,000 encounters with illegal immigrants at the southern border. We cannot allow this to continue.
There is nothing compassionate about this. This is a complete breakdown of America’s sovereignty and rule of law, and my home state is on the front lines.
Texas is continuing to bear the brunt of this crisis, and I’m continuing to lead the fight in Congress for commonsense measures that would secure the border. I have been vocal in my criticisms of Joe Biden’s incompetence and unwillingness to take serious action to stop illegal immigrants from flooding into Texas. And I’ve proposed policy solutions that would address the root causes of what amounts to the worst illegal immigration crisis in decades.
