Hi John,
I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Elsie Falconer, the new President of Kids for the Boundary Waters. At last night's Boundary Waters Gala we celebrated the 10 years the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters has been fighting to protect our Wilderness. During the program, I officially took over the leadership of Kids for the Boundary Waters.
As we not only look back at what the Campaign has accomplished, we must also look forward for how future generations are going to need to keep stepping up to continue the fight to protect this amazing place. I'm proud and excited to help usher in the next generation of Wilderness Warriors to help protect the Boundary Waters for my generation and all generations to come.
We have a big year in front of us. Next year, we will hold a youth-directed day of action at the Minnesota State Capitol, pushing for our state legislation to protect the Boundary Waters. We will also do our annual fly-in to DC to bring our fight to Washington and continue to push to pass Rep. McCollum's bill to permanently protect the Boundary Waters. |
