Team, we’ve reached out a few times about our critical fundraising deadline at the end of the month, but now we want to talk about something even more critical: the “childcare cliff.”
In 2021, Democrats in Congress worked together to make huge investments in child care across the country, allowing parents to head back to work and ensuring our children had quality care.
But on September 30th, that critical child care funding is set to run out, which would result in the closure of an estimated 70,000 child care centers — including over 2,000 right here in Ohio, which will impact over 134,000 Ohioan children.
The loss of this funding will hurt working families, children, and our entire economy. But the extreme Republican House Majority would rather put partisan politics over getting things done for our families. Our children deserve better.
That’s why we’re asking: Will you add your name today to call on Congress to put working families first and prioritize child care funding?
Thank you,
Team Landsman
PS. In Congress, Greg is a staunch advocate for children and families. He’ll never put corporate interests ahead of fighting for Ohioans, so will you please chip in today to help us keep Greg in Congress where he can fight for our children?
