Republican lawmakers have launched an assault against voting rights across the country. From restricting vote-by-mail to banning organizers from simply handing out water bottles to voters waiting in line to cast their ballots, we must fight back against this outrageous, GOP-led attack on our freedoms.
Our grantees are working on the ground to register voters and educate them about the latest Republican voter suppression tactics, but we can’t stop there.
This week, Democrats reintroduced the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, legislation that would undo the damages done by the Supreme Court to the original Voting Rights Act of 1965 and protect voters from discrimination — and we’re calling on Congress to pass it now.
Add your name if you agree: Congress needs to take action to protect and strengthen voting rights across the country. [[link removed]]
