I've always believed in the power of community. Growing up as the son of a butcher and a school bus driver, I learned about hard work, determination, and the value of looking out for one another.Β My time as a Recon Marine officer, including commands while serving in the Persian Gulf and Somalian conflicts, only deepenedΒ my pride as an American and a Texan and my belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive. We shouldn't be held back by broken systems or failed leadership. Would you accept a 90% failure rate in any other aspect of your life? Imagine if your child's school failed to educate 90% of its students or if your plumber could only fix 10% of your water leaks. It's unthinkable, right? So why should we accept this from our city leadership? Remember when I told you about that busted water main we came across? Residents were under water conservation notices, struggling to shower or wash clothes, while the city did nothing. It's just one example of how our city's leadership is failing us. We deserve better. We deserve leadership that listens, acts, and truly serves our neighborhoods. Here's what I'm fighting for:
