Hi JOHN,

The climate crisis is not something that we can continue to sit back and ignore. Every day across the world, vulnerable communities are struggling with extreme heat waves, wildfires, rising sea levels, melting ice caps, and so much more.

This past July was the hottest month ever recorded, and likely the hottest in at least 120,000 years. If we leave this crisis unchecked, the visible harm will only continue to multiply. It’s not too late to change course, but JOHN, it’s up to us.

This is why we are launching a new organization, Clean Energy Democrats, to elect Democrats who will take immediate action in Congress to address our climate emergency.

With this people-powered organization, we will fight to ensure that climate-denying politicians have no place in our government. If we want to battle climate change before it becomes irreversible, we need to tackle the grasp the fossil fuel industry has on our economy and support leaders who are dedicated to reducing our nation’s carbon emissions.
