National Republicans see North Carolina as a top gubernatorial pick-up opportunity. Meanwhile, top GOP presidential candidates know they have to carry this state if they want to win the White House.

Right now, my radical opponent and I are neck-and-neck in the polls. He and his MAGA-money backers have spent years preparing for this race. They’ve built up a massive war chest, and we expect out-of-state GOP forces to pour money into our state. Our movement built on grassroots support can defeat them, but it won’t be easy.
