And she knows it...     John, The fallout from Lauren Boebert's antics in a Denver theater is continuing, following her "apology" about she "fell short of" her values. Boebert's weak apology rings even more hollow when you hear her response to TMZ (yes, in fairness, most of Boebert's actions typically do qualify as nonsense celebrity gossip, and therefore are entirely fair game for the tabloids) when asked "if it had been a rough week": "I'm here to provide levity...I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date. It was mostly a lovely time." That's right: one of the most extreme far-Right people leading the charge to impeach Joe Biden over nothing at all is here to provide "levity" and probably expects some kind of grace and expectation of privacy. But Lauren Boebert has been pretty clear about her feelings toward people she thinks don't share "her values," or whatever twisted version of Christianity she claims to believe in. She treats the rest of us with contempt and disdain, as if she has been granted some divine license to judge everyone else (despite this clashing with the literal teachings of the religion she allegedly practices). Boebert doesn't deserve any grace when she makes mistakes and shows her flaws. Members of Congress should have empathy and understanding toward the people they represent; and if they aren't able to summon either, they should avoid preaching morals and viciously dividing us into the rights and the wrongs. But while this is worth highlighting, it doesn't by itself make Lauren Boebert any easier to defeat next year. We have to put our heads down and do the work to make that happen. We know that we ask a lot, but could you help us double down on our field organizing efforts to oust Boebert with a contribution of $25 or more?
