But there are critical elections in Virginia this fall, and the future of voting rights, abortion, and more hangs in the balance if the state legislature changes hands.

That's why Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin is pushing so hard for Virginia to follow Florida and Georgia's voter-suppression lead — by limiting early voting, reducing voting hours, and placing even more restrictions on mail-in ballots.

Make no mistake: This election is a testing ground for 2024. 

You can bet that the voter suppression measures Virginia Republicans use over the next 57 days will go right into the GOP playbook for other states and elections next year.
