Breaking down a First Amendment issue impacting millions of students.
ACLU Supporter, an unprecedented wave of school censorship is sweeping the country.
Today, 36 states have passed or proposed school censorship laws. In Florida, the Department of Education even rejected an AP African American Studies course and approved classroom use of YouTube lessons from conservative propaganda machine PragerU. These curriculum changes are part of a cruel, nationwide attempt to rewrite history – but we're fighting back.

The ACLU is truly the last line of defense against school censorship. We've taken unjust school policies to court in Florida, Virginia, Missouri, and more. After all, we've been in the fight for free speech for over 100 years.
The problem is, the ACLU needs more funding to defend our civil liberties in the classroom and beyond. We set a critical goal to receive 1,330 donations before our deadline tomorrow at midnight, but we're falling 431 donations short.
It's up to us – the ACLU and grassroots donors like you, ACLU Supporter – to defend the right to learn in this dire moment. Please, donate as generously as you are able to help us reach our goal, continue to strike down school censorship laws, and protect the rights of all people nationwide. <[link removed]>

Thank you for supporting the fight for free speech in schools and across the country.
