Last week, a District Court judge in Texas ruled against the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA program). Since its inception, DACA has been attacked by those who want to divide us. And this ruling is no different.

Now more than ever, it's important to send a message of support and compassion for young undocumented residents — people who came here at a young age and provide vital contributions to the communities that they have grown up in.

The simple fact is that the Dreamers — 578,680 in our nation, nearly 13,000 in Colorado alone — deserve to live without the fear of deportation as they continue making their lives in the United States.
