Picture this: a storybook sunrise on America’s beautiful western plains. A majestic bird fluffs its feathers, strutting through the brush. This is the iconic Greater sage-grouse, known for its unique dancing courtship displays and proud tail feathers.

Fossil fuel extraction has DECIMATED this special bird’s population. Now, the Department of Interior is about to lease more than 13,000 acres of public lands in Wyoming – including critical sage-grouse habitat – to greedy polluters. October 2nd is the LAST DAY you can submit comments on this lease sale before public lands are forever changed. Friend, tell the DOI: cancel the Wyoming lease sale! Protect our public lands and wildlife from greedy polluters. >>

This Saturday is National Public Lands Day. Now is as important a time as ever to take action to stop fossil fuel corporations from destroying our country’s beautiful scenery. But it’s not just our land and wildlife at risk.

Fracking and oil drilling create TOXIC POLLUTION and FOUL ODORS that snake their way into nearby communities and hurt people. Some of the side effects that have been reported include lightheadedness, nausea, and respiratory illnesses.

The comment period to oppose this Wyoming lease sale is closing fast, Friend. If just 1 of every 8 people reading this email takes action, we can send a powerful message to the DOI and help cancel the lease sale!  Act now!

Standing with you,
