That was just one of the 1,000+ train derailments across our nation in the last year. We gotta do something.

Here's rail companies' plan for boosting their profits: fewer workers, fewer safety measures, longer trains. Is it any wonder this ended in disaster?! 🤦🏿‍♂️

So here's what our bill would do:

• Require common-sense safety protocol, ESPECIALLY when transporting toxic materials.
• Mandate at least a two-person crew. (For real, rail companies staff some of those giant trains with just one person!)
• Force rail companies to FINALLY provide PAID SICK LEAVE to workers. (Right now most rail workers can't take a day off.)
