This month is National Recovery Month, which is an observance held every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible. Check out NIDA Director Dr. Nora Volkow’s 2022 blog below for some insight on how NIDA is supporting recovery efforts.

Educational Resources from NIDA

As the school year is in full swing, spend some time exploring the NIDA parent and educator resources. These tools provide valuable support and inspiration for initiating a dialogue about the science of drug use and addiction among youth. From pre-planned lessons and engaging activities to interactive videos, quizzes, and conversation starters, there’s something for everyone to get involved and help the teens in your community make informed decisions about drug use and their health.
