Hi,

So far this year, state legislatures have passed more than 80 gun safety
policies and have blocked 95% of the gun lobby’s agenda. This is
tremendous progress, but the fight is far from over. Here’s an unsettling
fact: Firearms are still the no. 1 cause of death for children and teens
in America. This statistic is more than just a number, it's a call to
action.

Our children should be focusing on their education, on building
friendships, and on dreaming about their futures. They should not be
worrying about their safety when stepping into school each day.

That’s why we’re calling on Congress to take action, including passing
background checks on all gun sales so we can keep firearms out of the
wrong hands and help save our kids’ lives. We’ve set a goal to reach
10,000 signatures before midnight tonight, and we want to hear from you!

With your help, we can continue blocking the gun lobby’s agenda and
protect our children from gun violence. Congress has the power to make
change by passing background checks on all gun sales, but they won’t act
unless we come together to demand action.

tonight and add your name now?

It’s time our elected leaders took action to protect our country and
children from gun violence.

Thank you for taking action,

Everytown for Gun Safety
