Safe streets are a
civil right.
Crime gets worse; Dallas city council members do nothing.
City Council Lowers Police Hiring Goal While Murder Rises
As if DPD
wasn’t already underfunded and understaffed, Dallas’s City Council
approved a budget adjustment that would unbelievably decrease next
year’s officer hiring goal. Dallas needs to hire 1,000 more officers to
reach the 4,000 needed to properly police a city this size.
[link removed]-
considers-amendments-to-proposed-46-billion-budget/ The original budget
provided for only 290 new hires and now this mind-boggling cut will
reduce that number to just 250!
What is more shocking is that the
Chief of Police Eddie Garcia supports this cut! When top brass won’t
even fight for his department, what does that say to the average
resident? He should know as well as anyone that the police shortage has
lethal ramifications for Dallas. Garcia said that the lower hiring goal
was “more realistic.” It is shameful that our city cares so little
about the safety of residents and businesses. Even aiming for 30% of
the city’s recommended hiring goal, an additional 1,000 more officers,
is dismissed as “unrealistic” while the city wastes millions of dollars
enabling vagrants and funding Left-wing culture war projects.
DPD
needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police officers ASAP, but our elected
officials refuse to make it happen. Residents of Dallas deserve to know
why their leaders can’t keep them safe. If you agree, call Chief Eddie
Garcia’s office and ask him why DPD can’t hire enough officers to
patrol our city and why he thinks what’s needed for your safety is
“unrealistic!”

hefts-spike-under-blackmon/ Councilwoman Paula Blackmon has been named
Dallas’s September “Crime Boss” by The Dallas Express. Blackmon’s
District 9 has seen a year-over-year crime score increase of 40%!
Blackmon's nomination comes after a shocking spike in the following
four crime categories: motor vehicle thefts, drug offenses, vandalism,
and robbery! Join KDS and contact Councilwoman Blackmon's office to ask
what she is doing to combat crime in her district!

Saturday Shootings Bump Up Dallas’ Murder Rate
Dallas’s murder rate is
on the rise while quality of life continues to decline. Public safety
is one of the top issues in Dallas, but for some reason, our elected
officials simply refuse to do what is necessary to solve it. We need
1,000 more cops, they need to be allowed to do their job, and the
District Attorney has to stop letting criminals off the hook!

  South Dallas Shootout Leads to
Car Chase, Murder Charge
Shootouts and car chases are the norm in
cities like LA and Chicago, but did you know that Dallas’s per capita
crime is actually worse than those cities? The woke activists in our
government and media lie to cover it up, but Dallas is headed in a
dangerous direction. It’s time for Dallas to put an end to the death
and destruction controlling our streets!

Death in Pleasant Grove Ruled a
Homicide
It seems like every week the police find another dead body
lying in a public place somewhere in Dallas. One can only wonder if
these kinds of killings are connected to some form of organized crime.
We know that Dallas is a hub for human trafficking and cartel drug
trade. Meanwhile, the Chief of Police has approved a lower recruitment
goal for DPD. We get the city we tolerate.

 Tracking
Illegal Camps:
[link removed] Each week the KDS team
drives its planned route through Dallas photo-documenting and
cataloguing illegal encampments to inform the city of these locations.
Our team livestreams these activities giving the community a first-hand
look at the vagrancy crisis in Dallas.
In this episode, we revisit
the permanent camp under a bridge on Denton Drive.

 District 10
Councilwoman Kathy Stewart's
"Street Camp"
This camp in Kathy
Stewarts’s District 10 has been dubbed “Street Camp.” It is often said
that vagrants live “on the streets,” but in this case, this vagrant is
literally sleeping on a street! Dangerously, this man sleeps while
dozens of cars drive by on this busy highway service road. Was he just
so exhausted from panhandling all day? Or is this the result of some
drug cocktail he’s coming down from?
 District 7 Councilman Adam
Bazaldua's
"Public Bath Camp"
We named this camp in Adam Bazaldua’s
District 7 “Public Bath Camp.” Vagrants in Dallas live without shame –
many of them even wash themselves on public sidewalks next to busy
roadways. This kind of indecency would be unacceptable for normal
residents – the police would surely arrest them! – but the city of
Dallas makes many special exceptions for vagrants.
 District 7
Councilman Adam Bazaldua's
"Village Camp"
This camp in Adam
Bazaldua’s District 7 has earned the title “Village Camp.” Once again,
a camp that was temporarily dispersed by the authorities has been
allowed to return and grow to its previous size. Vagrants steal public
property for private use, and there is no exception in this
neighborhood. Despite a dozen “no trespassing” signs, vagrants in this
area are known to create village-like slums on vacant lots.

Mission Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and
homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the
safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have
a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines
the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the
"defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders'
efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our
city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the
prohibition of urban camping.
