Not gonna lie, Jack, the progressive movement—across the board—is experiencing a drop in revenue and it couldn't come at a worse time, as we gear up for 2024.
Daily Kos needs your help. Can you donate $5 to support our ongoing work?

There was a ton of grassroots enthusiasm and support during Trump's occupation of the White House. That support buoyed many organizations, including Daily Kos, to build campaigns that helped defeat Trump's cronies in 2018 and kick him out of the White House in 2020.
Now, even though Trump is leading in the polls and is banking on a comeback, that progressive support has waned. Numerous progressive advocacy organizations have had to make cuts, layoffs, or in some cases, shut down completely. Now is the time that many progressive organizations start expanding staff, building infrastructure and developing campaigns for what will likely be another grueling election next year, instead they are downsizing. It's a problem that even the New York Times has noticed.
For nearly a decade now, Daily Kos has relied on three sources of revenue to cover our operating expenses. This has helped us weather the ups and downs of the fundraising cycle. Unfortunately, two of those revenue sources have continually fallen behind projected goals.
This year, Daily Kos has relied more and more on grassroots fundraising to help make ends meet. However, I am now getting worried that we may miss our fundraising goal for the month.
Donations of just a few dollars, from thousands of Daily Kos readers and activists, is our largest source of income that fuels our work. We still need to raise $170,000 by the end of the month. Please support Daily Kos with a donation of $5 or more today.
