Our Revolution was created with one central thought: "Campaigns end. Movements endure." And they've truly built an unstoppable movement for progress – one that I'm incredibly honored to be a part of.
Joseph Geevarghese, the executive director of Our Revolution, called me the "movement candidate" – and I couldn't agree more. You see, I don't just preach about the need for progress – I roll up my sleeves and make progress happen.
John, I was the only Congressperson to vote against giving President George W. Bush nearly unlimited war powers after 9/11 – while Adam Schiff voted for the endless war. I was among the first in the party to fight for workers rights and union rights while Republicans put corporations above working people. I helped make the Child Tax Credit a reality – which cut child poverty by 46%. I was among the first to throw my support behind Medicare for All, the Green New Deal and more.
It's for those reasons I've been ranked as "the most liberal member" of the House and received key endorsements by other progressive leaders like Stacey Abrams, Ayanna Presley, Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna and now, Our Revolution.
