John, I’m so proud to share this news with you:
This morning, I announced that Pennsylvania is now an automatic voter registration state!
From now on in Pennsylvania, if you’re a legal, eligible voter getting or renewing your driver’s license or ID card at the DMV, you will be automatically registered to vote unless you choose to opt out.
This will help tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians make their voice heard – no matter who you choose to vote for or what your views are.
When I ran for Governor, I promised that I'd defend our democracy and secure our fundamental freedom to vote. And by bringing automatic voter registration home to Pennsylvania — the birthplace of our democracy – we’re making that promise a reality.
John, this would not be possible without you and the thousands of people who chipped in, volunteered and voted last year.
