Folks, every day people ask me why I’m in this fight to represent TX-15. Today, I want to share my “why” with you.
But first, will you make a contribution to this campaign and help fund the fight to make sure no family is left behind? When I get to Washington, I’ll be a voice for the working people of the Rio Grande Valley, and with working families struggling everyday to get by, that’s exactly what we need.

I come from a big family of immigrants, farm workers and entrepreneurs. My parents, immigrants who made their way to the Rio Grande Valley from Mexico, did a little bit of everything to make ends meet. But running our flea market, Pulga Los Portales, serving thousands of our community members on a weekly basis and helping dozens of working-class entrepreneurs start their businesses, defined my family's values — our South Texan values.
But my life changed forever when I was in college. While at Columbia University, after years of fighting multiple sclerosis, my mother took her last breath at just 46 years old. It was then I decided the best way to honor her legacy is to fight for a better future for my family.
To fight for a better future for ALL of us.
Every day, I see how hard the people of South Texas work just to scrape by. At our family’s pulga, dozens of vendors come each week, hoping to make enough to put food on the table. They are the overlooked emprendedores who make our community strong.
This fight is personal to me. We need someone who is going to go all-out to strengthen the position of working families — and Monica De La Cruz has proven time and again that she does not represent working families in Congress.
Hard working South Texans deserve an economy that works for them, not only for the people at the top. When I’m in Congress, that’s exactly what I’ll fight for.
Folks, I’ll never stop fighting for mi gente. But to get to Washington where I can fight to protect working families, I need your support. Will you chip in right now to make sure TX-15 has a representative who will do what it takes to fight for the families of South Texas?
¡Vamos por Quince!
