In the days following the 2022 midterm elections, New Yorkers began asking questions about their newly-elected Congressman.

Slowly but surely, the truth emerged: George Santos ran for Congress on a web of lies -- none of which had any basis in truth. He lied about his religion, where he went to school, where he worked, and made up a fake story about his grandparents surviving the Holocaust.

When people found out, leaders from across the political spectrum called on him to resign, including all of his fellow New York GOP freshmen.
