Our Revolution is endorsing Barbara Lee to be the next U.S. Senator from California!
We announced our endorsement LIVE last night at a major town hall event, joined by U.S. Reps. Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna, Cori Bush, Mark Pocan and Ayanna Pressley, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison — all rallying behind Barbara!
Barbara Lee is the movement candidate in this race and her lifetime commitment to progressive change has earned her strong endorsements from progressive leaders in California and across the country, including CPC Chair US Rep. Pramila Jayapal, US Rep. Jamaal Bowman, and many others!
Barbara Lee has been a true progressive leader in the trenches with the people to take on corporate power and fight for peace and justice — standing on the right side of history even when she had to stand alone. Many remember her lone vote against the War in Afghanistan, and she has been a constant voice for working people throughout her career.

Barbara Lee was an organizer with the Black Panthers and would be the only black woman in the Senate. She comes from the working class and was a social worker. Her lived experience fuels her determination to fight for single moms, abortion rights, economic justice, and more.
While others seek the limelight, Barbara Lee has been doing the right thing for its own sake — not for personal credit. She’s the least wealthy member of the California delegation. This was never about her, it was always about getting things done.
Barbara has worked closely with Bernie Sanders for many years, and they recently introduced a bill together to tax the wealthy. Barbara has been one of the most effective progressives in the U.S. House of Representatives — passing 28 bills! She has the most liberal voting record in Congress, ranked by GovTrack.us, and she was an original cosponsor of Medicare for All and the first to introduce a single payer healthcare bill in CA.
Barbara was one of the first to the Fight for $15, walking with fast food workers when they first went on strike when no one else would stand with them but Bernie Sanders and Keith Ellison. And she is still fighting alongside them here in California, where the restaurant industry is trying to take away rights workers organized and won in 2022.
