Hey John,
The United States just passed a milestone that should make politicians feel ashamed: we’ve had 501 mass shootings so far in 2023, per a report from Axios. That’s an average of almost two mass shootings per day.
It never ceases to horrify me how Republican politicians can see these statistics and continually offer nothing more than thoughts and prayers to victims. Their lack of action is a conscious choice to ignore this epidemic of gun violence that devastates our communities on a daily basis
I’ve had enough, and I need your help to put pressure on my GOP colleagues. Sign this petition now demanding the Senate pass legislation to prevent gun violence.

It’s easy to become numb to the constant stream of headlines and statistics.
However, for people like me who have lost loved ones due to senseless shootings, every new report breaks another piece of my heart. The people being injured and killed every day have families and friends who will never be the same.
Other countries don’t deal with this like we do, because they actually pass laws that make it harder for dangerous people to acquire high-powered firearms.
I won’t stop raising my voice in Congress to stop gun violence. We’ve passed legislation in the House. You can join me by signing here to demand the Senate do their part in passing gun safety legislation.

Lucy
