Dear John,

In case you missed NPR's recent story about how internet voting is being pushed across the country—and why elections and security experts are unanimously opposed to its expansion—we’re holding a briefing on September 26 at 1:00pm ET that gets into the details. Register here

The briefing—co-sponsored by Free Speech for People, Public Citizen, and Verified Voting—will feature Kim Wyman, former Senior Election Security Advisor at the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and Dr. Juan Gilbert, Professor and Chair of the Computer & Information Science & Engineering Department at the University of Florida.

During the briefing, we will:

1. Provide an overview of internet voting risks and security concerns

2. Share key findings and recommendations

3. Discuss attempts to expand internet voting in states such as Michigan, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin

4. Share ways you can contribute to ongoing initiatives that support secure and accessible elections

We hope you’ll join us on September 26 at 1:00pm ET, because a healthy democracy starts with informed citizens like you.

With thanks,

C.Jay Coles, Senior Policy & Advocacy Associate
