I was at the Capitol yesterday with Senators Jack Reed, Tammy Duckworth, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Kaine, Amy Klobuchar, and Chris Murphy.

We put up signs for each of the 300+ officers who have had their promotions frozen, blockaded by Senator Tuberville.

We wanted to do something Tuberville couldn’t ignore. And in a story by Military.com, we learned that we accomplished our objective:

“‘I just saw it when I was driving over, saw it from the window,’ said Tuberville, who added he was impressed by the display before he was told it was about him. ‘I've got more support than they probably got.’”

He’s dead wrong. Veterans are behind these officers. The American people are behind them. And polls done by reputable organizations in the state of Alabama show that even the people of his own state are behind these officers — against Tuberville. Even Republicans.

Several of his own colleagues publicly oppose him — Dan Crenshaw in the House and Lisa Murkowski in the Senate, to name just two. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Republicans are silent and complicit, but we’re starting to see some cracks in the wall.

Tuberville will not win. This ends when we confirm them all, and let our fighting men and women do what they do best.

So please: Help us keep the pressure on.

Chip in today and help us keep this fight going. We won’t stop until every one of these officers is confirmed.
