John,

We are in the midst of a pivotal moment for workers across the nation, and
I wanted to take a moment to connect with you directly on what's at stake.

Right now, members of the United Auto Workers (UAW) union are out on the
streets, making their voices heard loud and clear: they deserve fair
wages, benefits, and safe working conditions.

These folks are fighting for democracy–in our workplaces and all our
institutions. They are bravely standing up to corporate greed—fighting for
a more equitable future for ALL workers. Their struggle is exactly what so
many Americans face every day–the fight for a living wage, for dignity in
the workplace, for the right to organize, and for the basic respect that
each and every one of us deserves.

But the UAW workers are not alone in this fight! I am not running for
re-election to elevate myself but to fight for the people, to fight for
workers like those striking with UAW, to bring a seat to the table for
every single one of us who has been marginalized, overlooked, or
underserved.

Just recently, I took to the House floor to speak on behalf of the UAW
workers who are organizing against billionaire corporate CEOs. The same
CEOs who make in ONE year what their worker paid a maximum salary would
make in 440 YEARS. I couldn't think of a better way to emphasize the
urgency of their demands than by invoking Rihanna with a: "Pay your
workers what you owe them—don't act like you forgot!”

From my early days to now—I have committed myself to fighting for workers'
rights, for fair labor laws, and for you and your family when I am in
office! John, whether you work in a coffee shop, for our local
newspaper or in a nearby hospital—your fight will always be my fight!

But I can't do it alone. I need your help to make it happen and we don't
have a moment to lose because our workers shouldn’t have to wait!

policies that benefit the many—not just the privileged few.

As we support UAW in their efforts, let us use this moment to ignite a
broader movement for social, economic, and racial justice. We must fight
together for the future we all deserve.

Thank you for standing with me, with UAW, and with all workers fighting
for their rights and their futures.

In Solidarity,
Summer Lee
