As part of the global labor movement, I am urging every postal worker to support UAW's critical strike.

Dear John,

On Friday, Sept 15, United Auto Workers (UAW) members made history by walking off the job in targeted strikes when their union contracts with the “Big Three” automakers expired.

As the saying goes, “an injury to one is an injury to all.” As part of the global labor movement, I am urging every postal worker to support this critical struggle. When we stand together in full solidarity with the UAW in their struggle to win strong contracts, we are standing for these victories for all working-class people.

In the coming days and weeks, there will be many ways that you can express your solidarity. Right now, the autoworkers are asking you sign this “All in” petition of support. Will you show your support for striking autoworkers?

UAW members are demanding their fair share in the record profits posted by the Big Three after years of painful concessions. They’re fighting to restore lost COLAs, remove divisive two-tier pay and benefit scales, ensure good retirement benefits for all auto workers and a shorter work week with no loss in pay, which are fair demands. I encourage all our members to participate in rallies in support of the auto workers.

When auto workers win their just demands, it will be a victory for all workers. To sign the petition, visit https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/big-3-ceo-petition-1

In solidarity,

President Mark Dimondstein
