I have a question to ask you all. Are you team sweater or team shorts? As temps fall, I'm seeing that some folks are already in sweaters while some stubbornly cling on to shorts (and the summer that is now long gone). While you ponder the answer to that -- here's a rundown of what's happening.
Tonight, AYD Veterans & Foreign Affairs Caucus is hosting our Foreign Policy Forum starting at 6pm! We have several speakers including Mike Haack, from International Campaign for the Rohingya, Charles Dunst, Author of "Defeating the Dictators", and Jaya Khetarpal, Foreign Policy Analyst with a concentration on refugees and immigration. Tomorrow night on Thursday, September 21 there are two events happening at the same time. Democratic nominee for House District 2 Adele McClure is hosting a Tenant Town Hall at the Aurora Hills Recreation Center at 5:30pm [[link removed]] .
And starting at 6pm, there is a fundraiser [[link removed]] happening in support of Russet Perry for State Senate with Congressman Don Beyer, County Board nominee Maureen Coffey, and more at the home of Craig Obey and Kirsten Johnson-Obey. YD tickets are $25.
This weekend, on Saturday, September 23 is the second of the four ArlDems Gold Card events, Celebration Honoring a Distinguished Senior Democrat [[link removed]] at 12pm. This year, the ArlDems will be honoring Madi Green, you can read more about her here [[link removed]] .
And on Sunday, September 24 is the annual ArlDems Blue Families Potluck [[link removed]] at Lyon Park Community Center starting at 11am.

AYD Canvass: Danica Roem & VA Dems [[link removed]]
We're heading back to Prince William County! On Saturday, September 30th, we'll be heading over to Prince William County to support Danica Roem (SD 30) and the rest of the VA Dems down the ballot. We’ll meet up at 9:00am to carpool out by 9:10am in order to arrive in PWC to canvass from 10am-1pm. We should arrive back in Arlington around 2pm. Meet-up location will be provided upon sign up via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox!

Please be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap/visor), and keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend while canvassing that you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will be using a mobile app to canvass.
