Friend –
Hello from New York where I am participating in a wide range of discussions around the UN General Assembly (UNGA) from global hunger to the threats to democracy. Last night, I hosted four incredible women leading U.S. global development agencies who were inspirational in their thoughtful approach and impact around the world.
But I am writing this morning to share an important full-page message in the Wall Street Journal on why Ukraine matters for American jobs and exports. -
Here at UNGA – and in Washington this week – all eyes are on Ukraine and the imperative to defend against Putin’s brutal war, and support Ukraine’s economic recovery – especially given the ripple effects Russia’s aggression has had on our national interests.
- The
USGLC teamed up with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the
National Association of Manufacturers, the Small Business Roundtable, and the District Export Councils to raise the voice of America’s business community.
Here is the core message of the ad, which you can also find below -
Ukraine’s recovery and American stability matter. From gas costs to grocery prices, what happens in Ukraine matters directly for our national security and the economic interests of American families here at home.
You can share the important message here on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Lots more to share soon with my readout from New York and the Olympics of Diplomacy.
Best,
Liz Liz Schrayer, USGLC |
